About the Collection
Sometimes, being a mother feels like existing on another planet; both deeply familiar and entirely new.
Becoming a parent sharpened my awareness of life’s dualities. You can hold opposing emotions at once, move through conflicting realities, and still remain whole. In learning to accept myself within this role—and all that comes with it—I began to understand that peace isn’t found in resolution, but in embracing the coexistence of it all. A balance within imbalance. A quiet acceptance of the in-between.
What began as an attempt to capture the transformation of motherhood evolved into something broader: an honoring of the many phases we move through in a lifetime. Daily, weekly, seasonally, across years and generations, we are constantly shifting, becoming, and re-becoming.
Turning forty marked an even deeper sense of awareness and acceptance of the phases I’ve lived, and those still unfolding. As my own mother enters a new chapter of her life, I witness that evolution mirrored back to me; another reminder that nothing is ever fixed. Everything moves. Everything flows. Everything shifts and transforms.
We exist within cycles inside of cycles; like planets in orbit, with moons orbiting them. There is no true stillness, only continuous motion.
It felt natural, then, that this collection would take the form of rings. A ring is a symbol of continuity; of something without beginning or end. Ever cycling, ever flowing, ever changing, yet somehow constant.
This collection is an offering; an invitation to honor the phases you’ve lived, the ones you’re in, and those still to come.
