Spend the afternoon exploring the ancient Korean technique of Keum Boo. Literally meaning, ‘attached gold’, Keum boo is a process that bonds 24 karat gold foil to the surface of another metal, usually silver. This is a great technique to add interest to your work and elements of gold without breaking your budget. You will be learning this technique using the torch method. All tools will be supplied along with a limited supply of materials. Additional gold foil may be purchased during the workshop. Small pieces of sheet silver will be supplied as well. We highly recommend you bring additional silver pieces of your own to experiment on. Ones with textures, roll printing, or that are multidimensional could be especially interesting! Please be sure to read our class cancellation policy before registering.
